We will answer one of our most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
A Divorce Concierge is a compendium of services and support specifically tailored to YOUR unique needs.
When you decide to get married, you hire a wedding planner; when you decide to get divorced, you hire us.
We work with clients in all stages of the divorce process.
Often clients come to us for pre-separation planning. They want to know what to expect from the process, how to get organized and ready to file for divorce or help mentally and emotionally preparing to file and enter the divorce process. These clients are also often seeking trusted referrals to divorce attorneys, financial planners, and real estate agents, among others, to work with throughout the process. We offer referrals to an exclusive list of vetted and trusted professionals to meet your every need, saving you time and energy.
Others may come to us for help managing life's many logistical details, perhaps those that their previous partner handled, such as finding a nanny/childcare, interior decorators, stylists or landscapers, assistance with creating new household systems, or hiring other professional or planning services.
Many clients also seek emotional support through the process, beyond what a divorce attorney alone can offer. A fitness, life, or divorce coach can keep you on track through this difficult time, or help you get on track after years of putting yourself second. Friends and family are invaluable during this time, but often, it can be difficult to confide in or rely entirely on friends and family for support. We bridge that gap by offering the total support system you need so you can focus on yourself and emerge from divorce better than ever.
Not a divorce attorney.
As your divorce concierge, we are not your legal representation, although we can provide recommendations for stellar and trusted local attorneys, and we work closely with your divorce attorney to navigate the many decisions and transactions divorce entails. We are your sounding board and confidants, and our licensed Michigan attorney can help you to broadly think through decisions and strategy related to your unique circumstances, which can often save you time and money on legal fees.
But while your attorney will handle the legal process and filings, as your divorce concierge, we are your consummate divorce support system and lifestyle management professionals. We evaluate and anticipate your needs before, during, and after divorce and meet those needs with the highest level of service and confidentiality.
Not a therapist.
We respect and value the role of counselors in working through the complex emotions divorce stirs, and we often refer our clients to wonderfully helpful therapists, but we are not mental health professionals. Our role is a divorce coach or life coach, here to support you emotionally in the present--forward and future-focused--versus working through the past, though we value both modalities.
A personal decision.
Just like divorcing is intensely personal, deciding to work with a divorce concierge is a personal decision, and may not be the right choice for everyone. Our clients enjoy a wealth of valuable resources aimed at making their life easier during this difficult time. We're your "divorce quarterback," coordinating logistical, financial and real estate details, tying up loose ends, providing emotional support and life coaching to assist you in the process, and offering an abundance of additional self-care resources. If you think working with a divorce concierge is the right decision for you, or if you'd like to learn more about the divorce process or what to expect, we'd love to speak with you.
